As the doom and gloom of winter approach ever so rapidly, a good way to remain sane and (psychologically) warm this season* is to listen to summery music. This undoubtedly entails plenty of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga and alarm clocks programmed to a local mainstream station (excuse me, Hit Music Station™), but one should not forget the lesser known sorts of perpetually sunny, West-Coastian musical offerings. Here is one by the surfy, beachy goodness of Best Coast. Click play, set the thermostat to high 90s, and drag a lawn chair by an open oven. Don’t forget a nice glass of iced tea. By the time this land unfreezes, you’ll be ready to rock out the season. Not only will you be in vogue, but you’ll be so before any of your friends. Take that, Seventeen.
